Happy Birthday Anneke

 Anneke is 15!, and a few of her friends popped around to help her celebrate.

Happy birthday Anneke, I hope this year is full of fun and adventures.

Terracotta Warriors

 The Terracotta Warriors were in Wellington, so we popped down for the weekend to see them.

 The archer was the urchins favourite.

 The detail of the armour and the hair was fascinating.

 These marking indicated he was the General.

 The faces were all different, and the hairstyles indicated their rank within the army.

 There were other artifacts on display was well, dating back to over 1000 BC.

 The edge of the roofs have decorative tiles, and I found them fascinating.

Anneke 15

 Celebrated Anneke's birthday at Cin Cin, an Italian resturant on Cuba St, in Wellington.

Prosciutto salad, the marinated figs are devine.

The urchins got all types of woodfired pizzas.

Anneke got a candle in her dessert for her birthday.

 After dinner, we popped back down to Te Papa, to see the Terracotta Warrior lantern display.

Sometimes we get to see something other than a giant squid!

The urchins explored the colour exhibition. The globes had different spices and rocks and flowers, and there was scent as well as colour.

A light exhibition kept the urchins entertained, while they moved and watched the different colours create forms and layers.

Of course, they had to change the seating, and use it for their own purposes...
