Happy Birthday Quinn

 Wow, another year has gone by, and Quinn is 14! He got picked up from school with a few friends, and they went to McDonalds for a snack.

 A small detour for  a photo op down by the lake front.

 Picked up party supplies at the supermarket.  Even I was impressed that they got fruit!

 There were a few lads around to help Quinn celebrate.

 I hope all your wishes come true Quinn, and your 14th year is full of fun and adventures.

Disaster!  The lads were going to have an Xbox allnighter, but one of the guests managed to break the TV.  They played cards all night instead. They were so noisy. Only one spoon was harmed!

 The pooltable and dart got used instead of the electronic toys.

Winter Solstice

 I still get very tired in the afternoons, but it is Winter Sostice, so we need to celebrate the shortest day. Very low key, with no guests, just us, so I could go to bed early. Chocolate with whipped cream!

 Porcupine Potatoes, roast pork, roasted kumara, pumpkin, parsnip and carrot.  Gravy and peas.

The urchins found lots of candles to celebrate the middle of winter.

Oscar has a new toy!

I can't believe Oscar has outgrown his red bike already.  He certainly is riding longer distances now on the MTB tracks. I wont be able to keep up with him soon.

Courtyard lights

 Quinn has been working hard putting up lights in the courtyard. They look awesome.
