The new bike track by the stream

Tried out the new track near the Waipa Mill.  Lots of ponga trees for the kids to crash into.  An awesome stream to play in.  Anneke was reluctant to get into the water - "What happens if our clothes get wet?"  Simple - They get wet!

Going backwards isn't as easy as it looks.

It's easier going forward

See, Ruth didn't fall in.

Santa's mess

Ready for the lake

Santa was not able to control Rudolph, and left sleigh marks on the table, and reindeer poo all over the table and floor.  The presents were found in a sack near the ceiling.  After lunch, we all went to the lake at the base of the Rotomas.  Cool water, great fun for the children to try out all their new water toys.  Awesome Christmas day.

A deep dark hole

Tighe in the hole
Once there was a tree, that needed digging out, so a bedroom could go in it's place.  Erik dug, and dug, and dug, and dug and dug....
The hole was as deep as the boys, and he needed to use ropes and pulleys to get the stump out of the ground

Cooking Adventure

Oscar helped Erik make Blueberry muffins.
Awesome Oscar, make some more, as they got eaten super quick.

Chopping down the Ponga fence

So, all you need is a girl with an axe and a spade, 2 willing children to get in the way, and a man to carry stuff.
It took about an hour to knock the ponga fence down.  The bedroom building will start, just opposite the white meter box in the photo.
Being destructive was nice.

Pull down a building to put another one up

So, the old spa building / lean to, has been knocked down by Erik, and we are getting ready for the BIG PLAN - moving in together.
Add on 3 bedrooms and a bathroom.

A start ...

A year ago on the 24th August, I received the most incredible gift from the Universe.  Erik.

Yes, just like in the books, our eyes met, our hearts zinged, and we have spent nearly every day together since.  Well... as only together as two families living apart with children can do.

We have decided to combine households, and see if we can do the "happy ever after thing".

The "new' house will have 6 bedrooms, 4 showers, 3 toilets, 2 offices, a Man Cave, and a sauna.  Just what we all need.  A new adventure.
