We got wet camping

Wringing out the water
So it rained, and we got a little wet.   Swimming under the waterfall was awesome.

Going Bush at Pukeroa National Park - King Country

So, we need to escape for the long weekend, so joined with the McMonagle whanau and went bush.  New experiences for Oscar and Anneke. Quad riding, flagpole raising, caving and exploring the stream.  I managed to go mountain biking with Erik, this time I knew the tracks better than him.  Cooked up fry bread, and slept in a tent.  Great times sitting around the fire stove at night.  Have to do it again next year.

Building blocks

A few delays, as the block layer was ill, but finally the blocks are being laid, and it is easier to imagine the finished rooms.

Footings

Exciting stuff, the footings are going down, and we have a better idea of how the buildings are going to fit together.

The West Wing

Combining 2 households will not be easy, so building the West Wing at Wychwood crescent has begun.  3 bedrooms, a wash house, cave and sauna.  Ambitious, absolutely, but anything is possible.
