A boat ride about an hour or so from Octopus resort is the Drawaqa Marine Protected Area. In June and July you can see Manta rays here. The channel between the Drawaqa island and Naviti island is full of plankton for the Manta to feed on. The boat will drop us at the East side, and the current will carry us through. As the current was so strong, we did this a number of times, to explore the channel and the coral forests.
So many fish, just an amazing experience to be amongst them.
Tighe enjoying the current pulling him through the water.
Looking back the channel, there is no indication of the massive coral forest below the water, or the amount of fish life.
