Shark tooth fossil

Exploring Kawhai harbour, at Puti, we found the usual suspects - Belamites, or squids from the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, and bits of Ammonites.  Oscar really enjoyed finding crabs.  Anneke found a shark's tooth!  We think it belongs to Carcharodon megalodon, similar to the Great White shark of today.
