Tighe has been reading the Marvel comics for a while. He is a fan of the Avengers, and is fascinated with the Infinity stones. Deadpool is his latest craze.
Halloween was coming up, and he wanted to make a Deadpool costume for the party. I said he had to make it himself, but I would guide him, and help with the pattern.
We found a long sleeve red shirt, and red trackpants at the second hand clothes shop.
I bought some black fabric from AJ's, and a little ribbed fabric for the mask. Tighe had to do the rest.
We trimmed down the legs, turned the shirt inside out, and sewed on some black panels.
The mask was the most difficult. Getting the eye placement in the correct position on a little man's head.
The sword carrier we built out of cardboard and really thin foam. Tighe spraypainted it black, and we used cable ties to fasten it to the straps. The straps he built out of an old thing Erik had found.
Tighe found a black belt, and shoes at the secondhand shop, and bought several black bags/pouches from the Chinese junk shop for a couple of dollars. The belt buckle is the logo downloaded, and then glued onto thin foam. Tighe used a "bobbypin" to attach it to the belt.
Well done Tighe, very impressive effort for Halloween.
