Tulip Fest - Rotorua

For two weeks in October, the tulips were in full bloom.
I really loved having to go into the Village for work, and just enjoy seeing the colours as I drove by.

Yes, I know they are not tulips!
The red of the petals was intense.  Just a fabulous display of colour.
There was a family of Pukeko living near the fountain pond.  There were several babies.

Anneke and I looked for the mutant tulips, the ones with the different colour, on one petal.
Near the hospital, is a small garden full of red tulips, with blue forget-me-nots.

Oscar's favourite part was at the Government gardens, reflecting in the fountain pond.

Another mutant.
