Unexpectedly in the southernmost city in Aotearoa New Zealand, is a Italo-Byzantine style church – seen in northern Italian churches of the sixth to eighth centuries.
Built in 1912 from local bricks.
The 32-metre bell tower
Another thing I noticed in Invercargill, was the huge amount of Art Deco and Art Nouveau buildings. Lots of columns and arches.I think this is the Town Hall. Quite extravagant architectural details.
