Lake Pukaki was formed from an ancient glacier. The water is an incredible blue.
The afternoon drive of Day 5 takes us to Omarama , only an hour from Aoraki/Mt Cook village.

Last view of Aoraki/Mt Cook with Lake Pukaki as staying the night in Omarama. We grabbed a couple of pork and apple pies in Twizel for afternoon tea.
