Milford Sound to Te Anau

After spending about an hour at the underwater observatory at Harrisons Cove, we reluctantly said goodbye to the fish and coral, and finished the Milford Sound cruise.
The clouds and the mountain peaks, and some rain created majestical scenes.

The spray from the Hineteawa), also known as Lady Bowen Falls made huge rainbows.

Hineteawa is the largest falls in Milford Sound, 162 m.

The weka was in the carpark, looking for cookies to take while we had our afternoon tea

One last look at the mountain peaks, and then the 2 hour drive back to Te Anau.

Fortunately there wasn't too much rain, and the mist loomed in the valley.

With no rain, the Mirror Lake was like a mirror.

It was still really, really, really cold.
