Church of 8 Wheels

An abandoned church has been turned into a disco roller skating arena.
Church of 8 Wheels, 554 Fillmore St, San Francisco.   www.churchof8wheels.com
The juxtaposition of the religious images and disco lights created a fabulous environment for roller skating.
The urchins discoved how fast they could go, and the best method to move forward.
Anneke preferred the "inline" skates, as they were more familiar, like ice skating.
Family session is Saturday from 3pm to 5pm.  Skate hireage is available.
As it is a church, there is no smoking, no drinking, just skating policy.
Doing the "hokey tokey" on roller skates requires a little skill, but YMCA was much easier.
Two hours of skating, and there were some hungry urchins.  Found a pizza place not far, in the Haight district - Mystic Pizza.  We could buy pizza by the slice.

The Haight, and I also got a slice of the Mystic.  Both were yummy.
The "just cheese"

Erik got a small Calzone, with garlic, olives and artichokes
