4th July Carnival

It's tradition to go to the County Fair on 4th July.
The Marin County Fair is held over 4 days at San Rafael, which is about 1/2 hour drive away.
So many people. The Ferris Wheel was our meeting point if we got "lost".
Lots of diffent stalls to take the urchins money.
They managed to pop some of these balloons with darts.
So many people crammed into the fair grounds.
This is much more difficult than it looks, but the urchins had great time.
Knock the milk bottles off was Tighe's favourite game.
Did I mention how many people were there?
Oscar and Ila (Greg's daughter) enjoyed the balloon popping stall too.
The queues for the lines were phenomenal, so the urchins just tried the games instead.
As it got darker, we got hungrier.  The queues for food were phenomenal as well, took over an hour to get funnel cakes.
Corn Dog. Sausage dipped in corn meal batter, and deep fried.
Plantanos Frito (Fried bananas) with condensed milk and whipped cream. Not too sweet.
Funnel Cake. Dough poured from a funnel into hot oil.  Served with different toppings, ie, powdered sugar, or cinnamon, or chocolate, and marshmellow (so'mores)
 Deep fried Twinky

The Fireworks looked nice reflected in the lake.
Took over an hour before we could drive the car, the traffic jam was real.  Once we got home, there were two raccoons in the rubbish bin. Their eyes glowed in the dark.
The Carnival from across the lake
The Ferris wheel was beautiful with different coloured lights
