About 40 minutes drive away was San Anselmo. A small village near Sky Walker Ranch.

We had a picnic lunch here, enjoying the shade and the wooden benches.
A quiet village, and pretty boutiques, plus an ice cream shop full of wonderful creations.
Erik got a pumpkin ice cream, and I enjoyed a mango and ginger. Darth Chocolate and Wookie Cookie were also available.
Took the scenic drive back to Muir Beach, via the Fairfax - Bolinas road. Plenty of Redwoods, hills and corners.
The Alpine lake was refreshing to dip our feet in. Tighe wanted to go swimming.
Suddenly, at my feet was a snake! Tighe didn't want to go swimming anymore.
I didn't know snakes like to swim, exciting afternoon.
