Homeward bound

Crazy way to finish a relaxing holiday. Get up at 4:15am, wake the urchins, catch a boat to the Mainland at 4:45am.  Catch a taxi to the airport.  Be there before 5:15am.  Fortunately, the staff do this most days, so no dramas, we just went with the flow.
Boat ride over in the dark.
One thing I like about Vanuatu, it is low tech.  The Departure board, had the incorrect hand written day and date, but I guess the same flights arrive at the same time everyday, so no need to change the board.

The airport was the only place I heard French.  The signs and documents are in English, French and Bislama.  Once through Customs, we waited for the cafe to open for coffee and chocolate bread. Managed to get our Order, just as the plane was boarding, so took them along for the ride.  The urchins enjoyed the hot bread as breakfast on the plane.
Looks like we are back in NZ
Back in New Zealand, Customs took some of the coral and shells off us, and managed to find a dead spider in a plastic container, that we suspect Tighe had something to do with.

Fantastic holiday, just what we all needed.  Thank you Vanuatu.
