Vanuatu, here we come. We managed to get away just after 5pm, and start the long (boring) and
wet drive to Auckland. The problem is, where do we eat? After Matamata, there is nothing open until Bombay, another hour or so drive onwards, and then the motorway. Arriving just after 6pm in Matamata also limits our eating choices, burgers, chips, or Turkish?
The Fez, Matamata. Fresh and tasty. Great stop before the next two or so hours drive to Auckland.
The urchins loved the tented table, and different flavours were tried and enjoyed.
Quinn just loved the hat...
and the banana and mango pizza.
We are staying at the Heartland hotel, near Auckland
airport. A shuttle will take us to the airport in the morning, and our
car will rest at the hotel for a week.
