Leaving the Plitvice Lakes District, we drove for a couple of hours to the Adriatic Coast. The road was windy and the landscape covered in trees and the occasional field
The area is rocky, and the weather warm on the autumn day. We reached the coast at Senj. I had heard so much about the Adriatic Coast, and we could see the islands dotting the Adriatic Sea.
Travelling north to Rijeka, from Senj, the coast is rocky, and not sandy beaches as I had expected.
The drive was pretty and we hoped to get to Rijeka by nightfall.
The Krk bridge connects the Croatian Island Krk with the mainland. The bridge is 1.4km long.
