Every Friday, Pogacarjev trg square hosts the Open Kitchen Market (Odprta kuhna), where the chefs of Slovenian restaurants prepare various dishes.
On offer was "Half and Half", so I got meat dumplings cracklings, AND pumpkin gnocchi with figs, chestnuts and pumpkin seeds.
The meal was made in front of us, and the smells made my mouth water.
There was seating nearby, and many different stalls to try foods. I also got a hot lemon and ginger drink, as the autumn day was a little chilly.
Afterwards, we found a chestnut roaster.
Roasted chestnuts to enjoy on the walk back to the apartment.
