Cycle Tour - Övörkhangai Province - Mongolia - Day 4 (Stage1)

Today's stage takes us cycling 90km through the Övörkhangai Province, and then over a 2,000m above sea level range. We will then take the vans to Mongol Els, about 50km drive, to stay the night near Little Gobi.

Breakfast was cold meats, cheese, watermelon, cereals, bread, biscuits, and spreads.

Probably the most scenic "outhouse" I have used so far on this journey.

The landscape is vast, and the high hills go on forever.

Herds of horses graze the grasslands.

Looking back up the Orkhon Valley where we travelled yesterday.
Far beyond these hills is Kharkhorin, where the Mongolian Bike Challenge normally finishes.
Leaving the Ursa Major ger camp.
Herds of goats and sheep wander over the hills that we pass through.

Plenty of eagles looking for prey.

Always thrilling to see these cranes, strolling about on the plains.

No matter how steep or rough the terrain, a Prius (Toyota) always manages to drive in these conditions.
